Utah is home to such a diverse amount of locations and all of them are jaw dropping gorgeous. Here are five of my tried and true outdoor locations.
South Fork Canyon
I swear you can't take a bad photo here no matter what direction you are facing. in the heart of Provo Canyon this is the perfect place to showcase Utah's mountains. And if you are a fan of fall starting in about September the fall really pop here. This place is very popular with photographer and this place can get fairly busy, but the field is so large I've never had an issue working around people.
There is a short hike, about a quarter mile up an incline, so if you have heels you might want to bring an extra pair of comfy shoes.
Little Sahara Desert
Who would have known that Utah had sand dunes?!? What's great about Little Sahara is that is that it looks great no matter what time of year it is. Only about an hour and a half from Provo you feel like you are in a different world! Little Sahara Desert is a state park so there is about a $15 a fee.
Totally recommend if you like a beachy care free feel because you will for sure end up barefoot in the sand.
Antelope Island
Another Utah state park that is just absolutely gorgeous. Only about an hour and half from Provo, Antelope Island has a ton of variety in landscape. From sandy beaches and lakes to mountains and grassy fields you can have your pick. There is an entry fee and a photography fee and be aware that certain areas require extra approval to shoot at.
Jordan Pines Campground
This spot is a favorite when it comes to snow photos, though it looks great year round. Tall pine trees provide the perfect green backdrop while still revealing Utah's mountains. In late summer the wildflowers are gorgeous.
Tunnel Springs Park
A real hot spot for Salt Lake photographers. And for a reason. With hills as far as the eyes can see and a great view of the city you don't even have to walk very far from the parking lot to get a great photo.
